Indonesia: Chevron Plans to Start Production from Kalimantan Gas Field in 2015

Chevron’s deep sea natural gas project offshore East Kalimantan may start production in 2015, according to BPMigas.

The site is expected to produce as much as 400 million cubic feet a day of natural gas, BPMigas spokesman stated.

BPMigas data shows Bangka as one of three parts in Chevron’s Indonesia Deepwater Development.

Gendalo hub, consisting of three natural gas fields, is planned to start production in the fourth fraction of 2016, said the regulator.

Production on Gehem will commence in the second quarter of 2017.

The company is continuing to advance the Gendalo-Gehem and Bangka projects through the design phase”, states the spokesman.

Natural gas produced from the Gendalo-Gehem hubs will be used within Indonesia.
