Indonesia Veripos Secures Three-Year Positioning Contract from PT Seascape

Global GNSS positioning specialists Veripos have been awarded a further three-year contract by PT Seascape Surveys Indonesia of Jakarta which has been commissioned to provide comprehensive positioning and survey support services over a similar period to a major oil and gas concern operating out of the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan.

Services to be supplied by Veripos under the agreement include its Apex and Ultra Precise Point Positioning (PPP) facilities utilising both GPS and GLONASS networks to ensure all GNSS system errors are removed or minimised by direct calculation, precise modelling or estimation.

Support hardware comprises proprietary LD3 GG2 and LD4 HDT configurable receivers which can typically provide decimetre accuracies in addition to precise headings, with output of finished or raw data to external equipment and QC software for additional processing.

Seascape Surveys, an established market leader for provision of inspection, survey, ROV, diving and IRM services to a wide range of offshore organisations, maintains operating bases in Jakarta and Balikpapan, Indonesia, Loyang in Singapore and Nongkham, Thailand.

Commenting on the contract award, Raymond Wong, Veripos’s Asia-Pacific Regional Manager in Singapore, said: “This further consolidates our working relationship with one of Indonesia’s major survey organisations engaged in a number of important survey and construction offshore oil and gas projects. It also ensures that we continue to progress as a leading supplier of quality GNSS positioning services throughout South East Asia and beyond”.
