InterMoor has announced the appointment of Duncan Cuthill as general manager of InterMoor Marine Services Ltd in the UK.
Duncan Cuthill will report directly to Alan Duncan, managing director of InterMoor, and will be responsible for InterMoor Marine Services in the UK and Mediterranean regions.
Cuthill has a bachelor’s degree in management systems from the Open University, a Post Graduate Diploma in systems practice and is a Master Mariner with extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Following a 17-year seagoing career, he began a 10-year career at Trident Offshore in 1992, including five years as operations director. During his time at Trident Offshore, Cuthill was instrumental in growing the business and establishing the company in international markets. Trident was purchased by Acteon in 2007 and rebranded as part of the InterMoor group in 2009.
After Trident, Cuthill worked in senior roles in a number of marine businesses in Aberdeen, including four years at Viking Seatech (formerly Viking Moorings) where he was managing director for the UK and Africa and a member of the company’s Global Leadership Team.
Cuthill brings considerable marine experience and management expertise to further strengthen the management team at InterMoor UK.
Duncan Cuthill said: “I am excited to be part of the UK team. While the roots of InterMoor Marine Services were within Trident Offshore, InterMoor has developed significantly to the point where it is the clear market leader in its sector. I am joining the company at the next exciting phase in its growth.”
