InterMoor makes two new appointments to senior staff

InterMoor, a provider of mooring services in subsea services group Acteon, has named a new president and chief technology officer of the company.

Intermoor said on Monday that it named Martin Kobiela as the company’s new president.

Kobiela replaces Tom Fulton, who takes over the new global role of chief technology officer for InterMoor.

These two appointments follow upon the nomination of new global chief executive officer Mark Jones at the end of last year.

Kobiela, previously regional president for InterMoor Asia Pacific (APAC), had the overall responsibility for developing and managing InterMoor’s business in Asia.

In the past six years, he led the expansion of the business across the region as well as the regional integration of a competitor’s acquisition. He is a chartered engineer and has over twenty years of experience in the marine and oil and gas industries.

As for Fulton, he has been involved with research, development, and implementation of new mooring technology over his thirty-year career.

As president of the U.S. entity, he has been leading InterMoor into digitalization by applying new technologies to their mooring integrity solutions offering and by spearheading the development of their new acoustic release mooring connector, Inter-M Release, unveiled earlier this year.
