iSURVEY adds two new members to business development team

iSURVEY, a provider of survey and positioning services to the global oil and gas market, has expanded its global team with the addition of two new business development managers, based in the UK and Norway.

The company said on Monday that Grant Aitchison would be joining iSURVEY Offshore in Aberdeen. He spent the last 20 years in a variety of technical and management roles at Fugro’s survey and subsea services divisions.

He joins iSURVEY’s UK business to support its North Sea growth. Aitchison will focus on both offshore oil and gas and wind as iSURVEY continues to build its business in the UKCS.

Aitchison said: “I’m delighted to join this successful business and be part of its growth journey. Having spent two decades working for a Tier 2 supplier of subsea services, I’m excited about the opportunities and potential offered by iSURVEY.”

Also, joining the team at iSURVEY’s global headquarters in Oslo is Arild Brevik. His most recent position was sales manager of subsea instrumentation at Kongsberg. He also worked as a coastguard operative officer, an Area Commander Naval Home Guard, and captained several passenger vessels and sea services tugs.

Brevik said: “iSURVEY has a strong international track record, and an excellent reputation in the subsea industry, so I’m very pleased to join the team. I’m looking forward to working with both existing and potential clients to support their requirements.”

Øivind Røegh, CEO of iSURVEY, added: “While the last few years have been tough for the oil and gas industry, our business has remained resilient and strong, and our experienced, capable team have been a critical factor in this success.

“The first half of 2017 has been busy for iSURVEY, so we are pleased to add two experienced business development professionals to our team. This is reflective of increasing potential we see emerging in the market, and we want to ensure we have the right people in our business to maximize these opportunities.”

Since the beginning of 2017, Offshore Energy Today reported on several contracts won by iSURVEY, including survey and positioning contract with Danish company Maersk Oil, a survey support deal with Solstad, and a rig positioning gig with Shell.
