iXBlue Strenghtens Position in Brasil

iXBlue, a provider of navigation and positioning systems for offshore and defense applications, has significantly increased support and product availability in Brazil. This is in line with the company’s strategic plans to accelerate sustainable long-term growth in this important and expanding market.

iXBlue Strenghtens Position in Brasil

iXBlue navigation and positioning products are extensively used by survey, EPC, and other offshore national and international organizations involved in Brazil offshore projects. This includes Petrobras projects in Saipinoa/Guará-Lula pre-salt discoveries of Santos Basin. iXBlue’s products are valued by players in the oil-and-gas value chain for their high performance, enhanced efficiency, and unparalleled reliability.

Phill Wilson, Managing Director iXBlue North America, said: “As a global company with customers operating everywhere, we have US based customers with operations in Brazil who need timely local support and product availability. The increase in this capability in Brazil is another step forward in our ability to support Oil and Gas customers’ diverse operations.”

Expanding the iXBlue dedicated support team in Rio de Janeiro sharpens iXBlue’s focus on tailored local services for product adoption, training, deployment services, and timely repair activities. Having access to a large local stock of inertial and acoustic products, iXBlue customers can save time and money during the life cycle of their projects. The latest addition of locally available products in Brazil is the 4th generation GAPS, the pre-calibrated USBL Acoustic Positioning System. GAPS uniquely offers robust shallow and deep water performance, and third party transponder interoperability to offshore customers.

Olivier Cervantes, VP of EMEA-LATAM sales and marketing, said: “We are thrilled with the year-on-year increase in our business activities in support of Brazil’s oil and gas industry, which includes working with international and Brazilian customers. The expansion in Brazil encompasses all key products across our inertial systems and acoustic systems business units. We’re investing continuously in order to build up our local capabilities.”
