JMU Hands Over Panamax Bulker

Tokyo-headquartered shipbuilder Japan Marine United (JMU) held on April 17 a naming ceremony for a 81,085 dwt bulk carrier built for Bermuda-based BTG Shipowning III Ltd.

The Panamax bulker named the BTG Denali is part of JMU’s energy saving ”G-series.”

The ship is 229 metres long, 32 meters wide, with a 14.47 meter draft. MAN B & W 6S60ME-C8.2 propels the bulker to the maximum speed of 14.5 knots.

BGT Denali is classed by Lloyd’s Register, and will fly the flag of the Bahamas.
