Kleven: Naming ceremony for Rem Offshore’s new PSV in Norway

Rem Offshore ASA, a Norwegian shipping company, will today name its new Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Rem Arctic at Fosnavåg harbour in Norway.

According to the company, the naming ceremony will start at 16.00 CET.

Rem Offshore ordered the vessel from the Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven in January 2014. The vessel went down the slipway in January this year at Kleven Verft yard in Ulsteinvik, Norway.

This is a vessel number 18 delivered from Kleven to Rem since 2006.

Rem Arctic is a PSV specially designed by Wärtsila Ship Design to operate in challenging arctic conditions.

The type VS 485 MK III ARCTIC design includes a number of features for ice prevention and de-icing, and hull and propulsion systems will have ICE-1B class.
