Kriegers Flak CGS commissioning postponed again
The commissioning procedures for the Kriegers Flak Combined Grid Solution (CGS) have reached the final stage, according to Energinet.
The system tests on the 400 MW offshore grid link are currently ongoing.
Due to the solving of technical challenges that occurred in the tests, extra time is needed and commercial operation is expected for launch in mid-December, Energinet said.
The official launch was so far delayed many times, most recently for the end of September.
Kriegers Flak CGS connects the Danish region of Zealand with the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania via the 605 MW Kriegers Flak and 288 MW Baltic 2 offshore wind farms.
The high-voltage cable system transmitted the first power between the countries in July.
