Lloyds Energy, the company focusing on near-shore floating LNG projects, joined forces with Gazprom avtomatizatsiya to develop near-shore FLNG barges in the Russian far eastern federal district.

The collaboration agreement provides the ‘green light’ for the beginning of the necessary actions involved in the construction of the near shore FLNG.

The parties seek to organise joint activities to search for investors and customers to deliver the projects for design, construction, commissioning and start‐up of nearshore floating liquefied natural gas production barges and associated onshore facilities in the Russian far eastern federal district.

Lloyds Energy, with its headquarters in Dubai, was established in 2013 and has since created a gas supply and midstream connection for 24 bcm of natural gas, equivalent to exports of 15 mtpa.
