LLX Logistica Wins LNG Terminal Construction License

LLX Logística S.A., said that on March 12th, 2013 the Environmental State Agency (INEA) issued an installation license for LLX Açu Operações Portuárias S.A. (LLX Açu) that will enable the construction of an LNG terminal at the Açu Superport.

The LNG terminal will be located between the north side of TX2 breakwater and the entrance of the canal. With 10 million m3/day capacity the terminal will have a gas thermal plant intended to supply MPX’s plant that will be constructed at the Açu Superport as well as other companies that will be installed at the Industrial Complex.

“The issuance of this construction license for the LNG Terminal is an important milestone for the development of the largest Thermal Power Complex in the country which will be located at the Açu Superport. The construction of this complex guarantees the power supply for all the companies that intend to set up their plants at the Industrial Complex. In addition, the LNG Terminal can attract a variety of industries that use Gas as their primary source of energy,” said Marcus Berto, LLX’s CEO.
