MAN D&T names Uwe Lauber as CEO

MAN Diesel & Turbo SE named a new CEO choosing Uwe Lauber from its own ranks.

Lauber will be assuming the post of Executive Board Chairman at the Augsburg-based global technology player with effect from January 1, 2015. Prior to this, 47-year-old Lauber was Head of the Business Unit Oil & Gas before becoming the Executive Board member responsible for Global Sales and After Sales on October 1, 2014. He joined the company in 2000.

“Lauber knows the company very well. He is committed to technological innovation and a complete focus on the customer. This makes him the perfect choice,” says Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, Chairman of the MAN Diesel & Turbo Supervisory Board and CEO of MAN SE, going on to add: “he will also rejuvenate the Executive Board, signaling a new beginning for the company.”

Lauber said he looks forward to continuing to extend the pioneering role of MAN Diesel & Turbo together with the Executive Board and 14,000-strong workforce.
