Marine energy course to take place in the Netherlands

International three-day course on tidal and wave energy, salinity gradient power and ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) technologies will be held in the Netherlands this March.

The course focuses on the latest innovations taking place in tidal energy, wave energy, salinity gradient power and OTEC.

The insights on each of these technologies, currently being demonstrated in the Netherlands, will be offered by the people who worked on the projects.

Also, topics such as legislation, environmental impacts and financing for the marine renewable energy projects will be covered, in addition to resource potential and business cases for various technologies.

Peter Scheijgrond, MET-CERTIFIED Project Manager who will be leading the course, said: “Marine energy is at a tipping point. This course gives essential insights on this emerging sector and teaches you how to assess the feasibility of projects.”

The course, organized by PAO Techniek en Management, is taking place on March 29-31, 2017.
