Metgasco clear to drill Rosella well

Metgasco Limited informed that the NSW Supreme Court has found in its favour in Metgasco’s challenge to the NSW Government’s suspension of its Rosella drilling approval.

In May 2014, OCSG suspended Metgasco’s approval to drill the Rosella conventional well after it had approved Metgasco’s environmental submission in February 2014 allowing the company to commit to a range of contract services required to drill the well.  OSCG suspended the approval on the basis that Metgasco had not complied with the NSW Government’s community consultation guideline.

In June 2014 Metgasco filed a summons with the NSW Supreme Court seeking to have the suspension decision overturned. After months of submitting further evidence, on April 23, 2015 Supreme Court found in Metgaso’s favour and the drilling suspension is lifted.
