Micoperi hires ‘Cecon Pride’

Cecon ASA has entered into a bare-boat contract for the first newbuild SSC vessel “Cecon Pride” with Micoperi SLR.

Duration of the charter is firm 10 months, with options. The charter will start in May 2014, immediately after delivery from the yard.

“This charter is an important step for Cecon to deliver the first newbuild vessel into operations,” Cecon said in a press release.

Cecon Pride is the first in a series of three large Offshore Construction Vessels under construction. Cecon Pride will be utilized for Cecon future projects in the SURF market, for activities such as flexible pipelines and risers, umbilicals, subsea installations, WOROV operations and tie-ins. Cecon Pride is of the of Vik-Sandvik design VS4220.
