MoHC Plans to Document Underwater Heritage in Sea of Oman

Plans to research, manage and document underwater historic treasures in the Sea of Oman are set by Ministry of Heritage and Culture (MoHC).

As Muscat Daily reports, the senior government officials discussed various aspects of research, as well as financial costs that will be reviewed and approved by experts, and the stages in which the project will be carried out.

The main areas of research will expand from Al Wusta to Dhofar with the objective of first exploring sites and then preserving the heritage which is at risk from natural factors, modern development plans and unlawful trading.
