N-Sea said that the contract was for the provision of subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) services.

According to the company, the all-inclusive deal is worth £30 million ($39 million) and will last for three years with options for extensions.

Under the contract, N-Sea would provide vessels and project crews for vessel-based and daughter craft diving combined with ROV operations.

Pre-engineering survey work for this project, which is being carried out in the Central and Northern North Sea has been completed. The initial offshore phase began in mid-June.

Dave Hamill, N-Sea business development manager, said: “This type of IRM service, inclusive of vessel based, daughter craft and ROV diving, is at the core of our business and the length and scope of this contract demonstrates confidence in our ability to deliver complex and challenging subsea projects.

“We are pleased to capitalize on our leading position in the market by carrying out this substantial contract in the North Sea, which reflects our wide-ranging specialist subsea services capabilities. This has been further strengthened through the appointment of eight new positions within our operational departments, and we look forward to executing this project.”
