Naming Ceremony for Ugland Offshore's PSV (Norway)

Ugland Offshore’s latest addition to the fleet – Evita – was named during a ceremony in Geiranger fjord, Norway, on Saturday 30th June. The vessel is built at Myklebust Verft.

Together with other investors, J.J.Ugland (JJUC) now has returned to the offshore business through the establishing of Ugland Offshore. Ugland also owns bulk handling vessels, shuttle tankers, barges, operates tugs and is involved in other maritime business.

The type VS 485 MK II PSV vessel is designed by Wärtsila Ship Design Norway, and in addition to design Wärtsila will also deliver generator sets, automation and electrical systems.

The vessel’s dead weight is around 5,000 tons, length 85 meters, width 20 m and the deck area is in excess of 1000 m2. The design meets Clean Design and ice-class ICE C requirements, and the vessel is equipped for oil recovery, stand-by and rescue services.
