Neptune Wins Wheatstone Diving Contract

Neptune Marine Services Limited has been awarded a saturation diving manning services contract by Technip in Oceania on Chevron’s Wheatstone project.

The contract includes the provision of saturation diving manning services to assist with the project spool installation.

Works are due to start in Q3 2015, the company wrote in a press release.

Neptune Chief Executive Officer, Robin King, said: “Neptune has already performed a number of scopes of work on the Wheatstone project and our continued involvement in this key project demonstrates the benefits of our integrated range of services.”

Wheatstone Project

The Chevron operated Wheatstone project is located in Western Australia and situated 120km North of Onslow.  The water depth at site ranges from 73m to 240m.

Wheatstone will be developed using a subsea gas gathering system that is tied back to the Wheatstone Platform. Gas will be exported from the platform to the onshore LNG facility through a dedicated trunkline.

First gas production/LNG start-up is expected in 2015.
