NGV 2013 to Be Held in Gothenburg

From 11 to 13 June 2013, NGVA Europe will hold the ‘4th NGVA Europe International Show & Workshops’ in Gothenburg, Sweden.

This NGVA Europe event will be hosted by Energigas Sverige (The Swedish Gas Association), gold sponsored by Volvo and is organised by NGV Communications Group. After the success enjoyed by the valuable NGV2011 Berlin and NGV2012 Bologna events & workshops, it is now Gothenburg’s turn to welcome the NGV related industry.

“LNG-CNG, Bio & Natural gas: The fuel alternative for all transport modes” is the main theme for 2013 and this year’s event will focus on the growing interest enjoyed by the natural & bio gas vehicle industry. It will cover experiences from fleet owners, show the development of CNG/LNG infrastructure along European Corridors and will give a comprehensive overview of the regulations & incentives the European Commission and local authorities are applying, in order to support bio & natural gas as the alternative fuel with more possibilities of use than any other kind of motor vehicle. The three days event includes workshops, technical visits and exhibition, plus the parallel experts’ meetings.

Also, NGVA Europe will hold its General Meeting June 11th, plus a Technical Session, to be announced. Association members can benefit from a discount when participating in the Workshops and also when reserving a booth at the fair.

The Workshops programme will discuss the continuous evolution of the technology & the expansion of applications of natural gas and biomethane vehicles (road, railway, ships), dealing with issues key to the industry. These include:

  • Successful NG Policies in Road and Maritime Applications
  • OEMs & Technology
  • Customer Perspectives & Fleets
  • Fuel Sources, Production and Infrastructure
  • Overview of Current European Programs.

Companies such as Volvo, EMPA, representatives from DG Move, TEN-T and the Goteborg Municipality have already confirmed their presence as speakers. High-ranking government officials, specialists, chambers, associations, firms and technicians will explore and discuss questions on these topics with the audience.
