Norton Rose Fulbright hires energy lawyers
Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright said that three energy transactions lawyers have joined the company at its Houston office.
Partners John Mauel and Julie Mayo, along with senior counsel Jay Stiffler, bring nearly 50 years of combined experience, representing international companies in major energy and infrastructure projects, according to a statement by Norton Rose Fulbright.
Mauel, Mayo and Stiffler join Norton Rose Fulbright from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where they worked together for eight years. The three lawyers focus on the development, financing, acquisition and disposition of energy and infrastructure projects, ranging from oil and gas to LNG to electric power.
They have been actively involved in the evolving global LNG industry, and their experience with LNG projects and major transactions includes liquefaction and receiving terminals, associated pipeline facilities, US LNG export projects, US natural gas procurement and LNG sale and purchase agreements, the company added.
