Norway: Bergen Group Announces Management Changes

 

Bergen Group is implementing organizational changes and a redistribution of tasks in order to streamline the corporate management and strengthening the coordination between the two divisions Shipbuilding and Maritime  Service. Inge Tangeraas resign as executive vice president for the Shipbuilding division.

Terje Arnesen, the executive vice president for Maritime Services division, will at the same time also be given responsibility for the Shipbuilding Division. The changes are implemented with immediate effect.

“Bergen Group has since the establishment four years ago been through an exciting period of growth which has placed great demands on the dedicated management resources at the corporate level. Now we are entering a new phase of growth that is expected to set higher requirements for coordination between the group’s different divisions in order to optimize the total profitability of the Group. At the same time, we have in these years established good operating and management systems that make it possible to implement cost effective measures in the corporate management” says Pål Engebretsen, CEO of Bergen Group.
