Norway: DOF Secures Surveying Contract with Kystverket

Norwegian-based specialist subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway AS has secured a contract with Kystverket regarding survey of the wreckage and surrounding seabed of U-864.

The first stage of the contract starts in December 2012 and comprises survey of mercury pollution in the wreckage area. The second stage starts spring 2013 and comprises removal of oil from the wreckage.

The estimated value for the contract is ca. NOK 30 million.

DOF Subsea provides Project Management, Engineering, Subsea Construction, IRM, Survey and ROV services. The company employs over 1,400 highly qualified staff and owns state of the art equipment including offshore construction, diving and ROV support vessels, ROVs, 1 AUV and diving spreads.
