Norway - NOCC Appoints New CEO

The CEO of Norwegian Car Carriers ASA Mr. Lars Solbakken has accepted an offer for the position as CEO of another shipping company and has consequently given his notice of resignation as CEO of Norwegian Car Carriers ASA. The effective date of the resignation is 29 February 2012.

The board has appointed Mr. Engebret Dahm (born 1965) as new CEO of Norwegian Car Carriers ASA. Mr. Dahm is currently Deputy CEO and CFO of the company and will take up his new position with effect from 1 March 2012.

Engebret Dahm was Managing Director of Dyvi Shipping AS from 2006 to 2010. He has broad experience from operational and financial positions in the shipping industry, amongst others, as head of the Beltunloader and Transloader shipping activities in the Torvald Klaveness Group (from 2000 to 2004) and from the shipping department of Credit Agricole Indosuez (Credit Agricole CIB) in Paris (from 1998 to 2000). Mr. Dahm holds an Msc (siv.øk.) from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH – 1991).

The chairman of the board, Jørgen G. Heje, said in a comment:“We regret that Lars Solbakken has given notice of resignation and we would like to thank him for his valuable contribution since he joined as CEO in 2009. At the same time we are pleased to announce that Engebret Dahm will take over the position as CEO. Mr. Dahm joined the Company in conjunction with the acquisition of Dyvi Shipping AS in July 2010 and has thereafter been Deputy CEO and CFO. His acceptance of this position secures valuable knowledge and continuation in the management team and the board is very pleased to confirm this appointment”.

The company will immediately start the process of recruiting a new CFO
