Norway: Rem Fortune PSV to Become MPSV

Rem Fortune PSV to Become MPSV

Kleven Maritime will carry out an extensive reconstruction of the offshore vessel MT6012 Rem Fortune, from the Platform Service Vessel into the Multi-purpose Support Vessel. The vessel was originally built at Keppel Singmarine Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in 2009, and will be ready for delivery in mid-March 2012.

The reconstruction will involve installation of one 100 tons offshore crane, helideck, opening of the moon pool, installation of an 8 tons auxiliary crane, anti-heeling system, mezzanine deck, and ROV equippment.

Marin Teknikk AS will supply Kleven Maritime with underlying design and engeneering services necessary for completing the reconstruction.

Richard K. Gjerde, Sales Director of Marin Teknikk, highlights the complexity of such a reconstruction, from demanding re-calculations to rapid delivery of design and drawings.

“Thanks to our highly skilled employees we are able to deliver high quality calculations on short notice, which result in a shortest possible reconstruction time. This will gain both the owner, the yard and Marin Teknikk as supplier of design and engineering services”.

The reconstruction will take place at Myklebust Yard in Norway, an combination yard that rates on both newbuilding and reconstruction- and service operations.
