Norway: Simek Shipyard Opens New Offices

While Simek Shipyard renovated its workshops, the company also managed to build a whole new office located between the construction hall and the workshop. This office is purposely built for the managers of the different departments on Simek.

Simek is a modern and well-equipted yard on the southern coast of Norway. So far, Simek has build and delivered 124 ships in its 44 years history, and has few more vessels in its orderbook, until November 2013. Simek AS presently has about 165 employees. Major emphasis is placed on training and certifying its staff. The company makes extensive use of apprentice ship programmes, enabling young people to become skilled workers in their field.
