Norway: Special Innovation Award Presented to Andreas K. L. Ugland

Mr. Ugland is presented with the award for creating partnerships and new products for the wider energy sector for more than 4 decades – and always with a drive for improved safety for operations at sea.

Andreas K.L. Ugland is one of the pioneers with background in shipping who early took important positions in the emerging Norwegian oil and gas industry. Offshore special vessels for piling-, emergency-, pipe laying- and offshore loading is only a few of the many developments were Andreas K. L. Ugland has been instrumental.

The list of merits in forms of new companies and innovations are long and leads up to him being instrumental in shaping, developing and positioning Norwegian industry and enerprises into the global oil and gas technologies and services which is so important, not only for the industry involved, but also for the Norwegian community.
