Troms Offshore Enters into Term Contracts with Statoil

Troms Offshore Supply AS and Statoil ASA has agreed to enter into a charter for the operation of two Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) – Troms Sirius (STX PSV 09 L CD) and Troms Artemis (VS 485 CD).

The firm contract period is 6 months with 3 monthly options thereafter. The Troms Artemis will start in September in direct continuation of present contract with Statoil whilst Troms Sirius will start the contract in October. The contracts have been entered into at market levels.

Mårten Lunde, CEO of Troms Offshore Supply states: “ We are very pleased that Statoil again has chosen Troms Offshore as supplier of PSV tonnage to their operations in the North Sea and the Barents Sea. These are another two important contracts for Troms Offshore in developing a high quality shipping group based in Northern Norway with large, modern Clean Design platform supply vessels.

Troms Offshore operates a fleet comprising 12 ships from its home port in Tromsø in Northern Norway. The Company owns 4 large Clean Design PSVs with a deck area in excess of 1.000 m2 and has two Clean Design PSV’s under construction with delivery March 2013 and January 2014. The Company is in the process of expanding its fleet of large, environmentally friendly ships for operations in the North Sea and in arctic waters. Based on its’ experience and competence from operating in challenging arctic waters, Troms Offshore focuses on expanding its position as a leading provider of offshore supply services in Northern Norway and in arctic areas. Four of the Company’s ships are registered with the Norwegian NOR flag, and a majority of the Company’s officers and crew are recruited from Northern Norway.

Troms Offshore is majority owned by HitecVision, a leading investor in the oil and gas industry.
