Ocean Yield Adds Handysize Newbuilding to Its Fleet

Norway-based shipping company Ocean Yield has taken delivery of a new Handysize dry bulk vessel from China’s Zhejiang Zengzhou Ship Building.

Upon delivery, the 39,000 dwt Interlink Eternity commenced a 10-year bareboat charter to a company owned and guaranteed by Interlink Maritime Corp.

In late August 2019, Ocean Yield acquired the Handysize bulker at a price of USD 18 million net of pre-paid charter hire.

Interlink will have certain options to either sell or acquire the vessel during the charter period.

Including this unit, Ocean Yield will own six ships on long-term charter to Interlink Maritime.

The 1979-founded Interlink Maritime, which provides dry bulk vessels to agricultural and industrial commodities companies, owns a fleet of 28 handysize vessels.
