Offshore Middle East 2013 Kicks Off (Qatar)

Offshore Middle East 2013 conference and exhibition in Doha, Qatar, was officially opened this morning by the Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada.

In his address at the Opening Plenary, Al Sada indicated that offshore spending in the Middle East is undoubtedly set to increase as the perspectives in terms of offshore development are endless for this region which is playing a vital role in global energy stability.

Al Sada reiterated the event will be a great opportunity for leading players and specialists in the field of offshore exploration and production to share some of the major issues facing the industry and address current and future technological and operational challenges.

The Opening Plenary Session, Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Exhibition Opening was attended by over 250 distinguished officials, delegates, visitors and press.
