2000 Oil & Gas Jobs Up for Grabs at Tawdheef Recruitment Show (UAE)

The UAE energy and oil & gas sectors are stepping up their 2013 Emiratisation efforts, as a score of major organisations prepare to sieve through thousands of Emirati job candidates at the country’s leading recruitment fair next week.

The Tawdheef Recruitment Show takes place from 29-31 January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), with more than 2,000 jobs expected to be up for grabs from 12 energy and oil & gas organisations participating at the show.

The majority of these will be offered by Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering, which has listed 1,000 jobs on the recruitment fair’s website, tawdheef.ae, across 75 positions, ranging from HSE Coordinators to Senior Engineers.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Al Mansoori has operations in more than 20 countries in the MENA region, and has aggressive expansion plans to grow its oil gas services, from slickline and directional drilling, well testing, manpower supply, inspections, technical and safety training, and equipment manufacturing.

Abdalla Omar Rahuma, Corporate Human Capital Manager at Al Mansoori Specialised Engineering said: “In our strategic plan to address emiratisation in the UAE and implement our existing recruitment policies, we are looking into hiring as many Emiratis as possible to support our business growth, and help the UAE government in the development of UAE nationals.”

More headline energy organisations at the event with big recruitment drives for 2013 include Gold Sponsors Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation (ADNOC), Mubadala, and the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, which has 500 job openings across various roles.

They will be joined by other local companies the General Holding Corporation – SENAAT, and the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA).

Meanwhile, a number of multinational energy organisations have signalled their intent to support 2013 as the ‘year of emiratisation’, with Dolphin Energy, Halliburton, Petrofac, Schlumberger, Total, and Total Tractebel Emirates O&M also out in force at the three-day event in their quest for top Emirati talent.

Held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Tawdheef Recruitment Show is the first and most significant career fair of 2013, offering a vast range of career opportunities for thousands of job seekers from more than 100 hiring companies.

Other key organisations taking part at the seventh edition of Tawdheef include Titanium Sponsor, Presidential Guard; Platinum Sponsors National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Police, and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank; Gold Sponsors Du, ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority; Silver Sponsor Etihad Airways and Khalifa Fund, and Registration Sponsor Abu Dhabi Airports Company.

Tawdheef is open from 10am-7pm daily, with the morning of 30 January from 10am – 1pm reserved for Emirati ladies only. Entrance is restricted to UAE national job seekers from 10am – 4pm, while all other nationalities can attend from 4 pm onwards. Pre-registration is mandatory for non Emiratis and is available online at tawdheef.ae.
