Osiris Projects Becomes Bibby HydroMap

Osiris Projects is rebranding as Bibby HydroMap as of the 26th March 2015. The UK based Osiris Projects was acquired by Bibby Line Group in May 2012 but has continued to operate under its own name since then.

Since being acquired by Bibby Line Group, the company has grown from 40 to over 100 full time employees and has invested significantly in new survey vessels, including the recently launched Bibby Athena, and new offerings such as the d’ROP, an innovative remotely operated survey platform, the company said.

Andrew McLeay, Managing Director, Bibby HydroMap explains, “Many of our customers, from oil & gas to renewables and subsea cables are facing increasing price pressures, particularly since the downturn in oil prices. As part of a larger group we have been able to extend the range of our services and by investing in the latest technology, we are able to offer these competitively. We feel the time is now right to rebrand as part of the Bibby family.”

Bibby Marine Director, Stephen Blaikie, adds, “The specialist work of Osiris Projects has always been highly valued in the seabed surveying industry. As Osiris Projects, they have deservedly built up a reputation for innovation, technical expertise and outstanding customer service. Following the rebrand to Bibby HydroMap, we look forward to helping them expand into new markets and increase the range of services offered.”

The new brand will be launched at the Ocean Business exhibition in Southampton, UK, from 14-16 April 2015. As well as exhibiting on their stand, Q8, Bibby HydroMap is planning to bring Bibby Athena along to the show, equipped with the d’ROP, the company informed.
