Østensjø Rederi Wins 5-Year Contract for ‘Edda Ferd’ by Shell UK

Østensjø Rederi announced that the company has recently been awarded a 5-year contract for Edda Ferd by Shell UK.

The company already has two PSVs, Edda Fram and Edda Frende, working for Shell UK. Now a third one will be added. Edda Frigg has already started the contract, and will be working for Shell UK until delivery of Edda Ferd, which is expected in October.

On the new contract, Johan Rokstad says: “We are thrilled to be able to continue our excellent cooperation with Shell UK. Østensjø Rederi has provided Platform Supply Vessels to Shell UK continually since 1976, and we see this new contract as a result of the quality of services the company has been able to provide. “

“Edda Ferd” is a result of Østensjø Rederi’s Mindset concept, which is the company’s guideline for future development. The concept has been created to ensure that Østensjø Rederi continues to be at the forefront of technological developments. Upon delivery “Edda Ferd” will be the world’s most environmentally friendly PSV, and will even feature a battery package as part of its propulsion system.
