Ouhua Shipbuilding Christens Handymax Bulker Built for ATLANTIS

Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a leading backbone enterprise in the shipbuilding industry of Zhejiang Province, held a christening ceremony for a 37.200 DWT bulk carrier ( yard No. HN 634) built for ATLANTIS (a Greek company). The ceremony was held at No. 3 quay on December 2.

Minos Athanassoglou, the President of ATLANTIS, Marina Athanassoglou, Godmother, Costas Lazoglou, Technical Director, members of construction-supervision team, Lloyds Register Robert Mallet, Ivan Kultenko, and the company leaders Hao Chunge and Shen Zhihua attended the ceremony.

HN 634 is the first cooperation between Ouhua and ATLANTIS. Since the shipbuilding for the vessel started, the sea trial has been smoothly completed under the great support and coordination of the ship owner and surveyor, and the hard work of all of Ouhua employees. Tacit understanding and deep friendship have been built based on the mutual trust and concerted effort. Through the efforts of both sides, the docking period of this vessel is only 35 days, setting a new record in docking period of 37K series vessels of the company. Shen Zhihua, the vice President of the company, said in his speech that 634 vessel would be delivered soon after the naming; then the first cooperation between the two sides would be smoothly completed. He believes that this will be a good beginning for the cooperation between ATLANTIS and Ouhua, and there will be a wide cooperation prospect!

Soon afterwards, the Godmother named HN 634 “ATLANTIS TRADE”.

After the christening ceremony, honored guests boarded the vessel for a visit and cut the ribbon for the new vessel.
