Pemex shuffles management and establishes new division

Board of directors of Pemex, the Mexican national oil and gas company, has on their latest meeting held on Friday, May 22, 2015, established a cogeneration and services unit, and has appointed a committee for the Pemex Exploration and Production division.

According to the press release, the board of the company has named Eleazar Gomez Zapata as director of the newly established division. Zapata has previously served as the maintenance coordinator at the corporate operations unit of the company.

Also, in the process of corporate reorganization of Pemex, on a proposal from the CEO, the company has appointed a committee to take duties of managing Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP).

Newly named committee will be lead by three directors: Gustavo Hernández García, as Chief Operating Officer, Juan Javier Hinojosa Puebla as the director of Development and Production, and José Antonio Escalera Alcocer, as the director of Exploration.

The company also said that Rodulfo Figueroa Alonso, who served as deputy director of Planning Pemex Gas and Basic Petrochemicals, was appointed the new Corporate Director of Planning, Coordination and Performance.
