Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita shipped three cargoes to Spain in the last two weeks.

According to the data by the state-owned Perupetro, the GasLog-owned, 155,000-cbm GasLog Shanghai was the first of the three to leave for Spain on August 16.

The vessel was followed by the 138,000-cbm Golar LNG’s carrier Methane Princess on August 17.

The third cargo was dispatched earlier this week, on August 22, aboard the 136,600-cbm LNG carrier Galea.

With the three latest cargoes Peruvian facility has shipped a total of six vessels during the month of August, five of which headed to Spain and one to Mexico.

In total, the export plant shipped 415 cargoes since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
