Petrobras Hires Skandi Vitoria PLSV

Brazilian state oil company, Petrobras, has awarded pipelay support vessel (PLSV) Skandi Vitoria a contract of 532 days.

The contract for the first pipelay vessel ever built in Brazil will start in January.

The vessel is owned through a joint venture together with Technip.

Skandi Vitoria is equipped with vertical and horizontal pipe-lay systems, a 250 mt crane and two work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

The vessel is well suited for pipe laying, subsea construction, installation and maintenance work and can operate in water depths up to 3,000 meters.
