Petronas orders water injection module from Handal JV

Malaysia’s Handal Resources and its unincorporated joint venture, known as Borneo Seaoffshore – Handal JV, has received a letter of award from Petronas Carigali for the provision of water injection module (WIM) supply on mobile offshore unit for mobile water injection facilities.

The duration of the contract is for a period of seven years, starting from March 2020, with an extension option of a further three years, Handal said in a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday.

The joint venture was established to collaborate and submit the technical and commercial proposal to bid for and execute the contract.

Handal Engineering, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Handal, and Borneo Seaoffshore Engineering have agreed on the scope and responsibility of each party under the joint venture and will be jointly responsible for discharging all obligations under the contract.

The joint venture will remain valid throughout the period of the contract.
