GAZ-SYSTEM Picks Contractor for Szczecin-Lwowek Gas Pipeline

GAZ-SYSTEM of Poland said it has recently signed a contract with ZRUG Poznań sp. z o.o. to build the Szczecin – Lwówek gas pipeline.

ZRUG Poznań, a company headquartered in Poznan, is the leader of a consortium which includes Polimex-Mostostal SA headquartered in Warsaw.

The contract is signed for the construction of the Szczecin-Lwówek gas pipeline, 188.35 km in length, located in Western Pomeranian, Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodeships.

The construction of the pipeline has been split into two stages:

• Stage I of the project – 117.8 km Szczecin – Gorzów Wielkopolski, covers the districts of: Goleniow, Stargard, Pyrzyce, Choszczno, Strzelce-Drezdenko, Gorzow,
• Stage I of the project – 70.55 km Gorzów Wielkopolski – Lwowek, covers the districts of: Gorzow II, Miedzyrzecz, Miedzychod, Nowy Tomysl.

GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has already obtained the environmental decision, location decisions and building permits for this pipeline.

The contract is signed for more than PLN 268 million,  whereas the estimated value of the whole project is PLN 647.02 million.

The project is financially supported under the Operational Programme “Infrastructure and Environment” 2007-2013  for PLN 159.26 million. The said Programme also financially supports gas pipelines Gustorzyn-Odolanów (PLN 175.45 million), Szczecin-Gdańsk (PLN 226.88 million), Włocławek–Gdynia (PLN 21.47 million), Jeleniów-Dziwiszów (PLN 43.90 million), Polkowice-Żary (PLN 25.59 million), and Rembelszczyzna-Gustorzyn (PLN 121.55 million).
