Polarcus in New Seismic Survey Offshore Australia

Polarcus has secured industry prefunding for a seismic survey offshore Australia.

The prefunding is for the ‘Zenaide’ multi-client broadband 3D marine seismic project in the Bonaparte Basin, Polarcus informed.

According to the activity plan given to National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) in September, the acquisition will cover an area of approximately 3,300 square kilometers.

The survey will be undertaken approximately 50 kilometers off the Kimberley coast of northern Western Australia.

The project is scheduled to start in Q4 2017, and will run for approximately six weeks, the company said.

Polarcus has not disclosed the vessel designated to carry out the survey.
