Polarcus nets seismic deal in Australia

Dubai-based seismic specialist, Polarcus, has signed a contract for a broadband 3D marine seismic project offshore Australia.

The company said that it would be utilizing its XArray technique for this broadband high cross line density data acquisition. Polarcus did not disclose the identity of the client, nor the financial details of the contract.

According to Polarcus, the project will start in Q4 2015 after the Capreolus 3D project currently being acquired in the same area.

While Polarcus abstained from saying which vessel would be used for the job, radar shows its Polarcus Naila vessel is currently deployed offshore W. Australia.

The seismic company said that the project would run for approximately one month.
