Polskie LNG Names New President of Management Board

Polskie LNG, the operator of Poland’s first LNG terminal, said it has appointed Tomasz Pepliński as the President of the Management Board.

Throughout his career, Tomasz Pepliński was in charge of a number of chemical industry and energy projects, whereby he was accountable for the investment process, construction and supervision. From 2009 to 2013 he held the position of Director of Investment Division in “Puławy” SA Nitrogen Plant, currently Azoty Group Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” S.A., where he managed a team of over 170 employees. Since August Pepliński served as the company’s proxy. He was responsible for preparation, implementation, commissioning and acceptance for use of chemical installations, technical infrastructure, communication facilities and buildings related to chemical plants. He oversaw the implementation of over 150 investment projects of a total value exceeding PLN 1,5 billion, as well as maintenance and modernization of systems worth PLN 1 billion. He participated in the construction and commissioning of a vast number of installations, including the Melamine II and III installations and modernization of Oxygen-Ammonia–Urea production line, one of the largest projects of recent years in Polish chemical industry.

Pepliński was also recognized for his commitment with investments enhancing the effectiveness of company’s operations, such as i.a. adjusting the existing installations to the current emission standards, including construction of desulphurization installations in a heat and power generating plant, demineralisation facilities and many other. Tomasz Pepliński acquired relevant knowledge and experience in management and corporate governance, including the relations between corporate bodies of commercial entities while serving in supervisory bodies of the companies within the Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” S.A. Capital Group. Prior to that, Tomasz Pepliński developed his professional experience in civil engineering during the work as a construction engineer, and having obtained building qualifications he held construction manager’s positions at numerous construction sites throughout the country. Pepliński graduated from the Kielce University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, with a degree in Construction. Moreover, Pepliński completed postgraduate studies at the Kielce University of Technology, University of Warmia and Mazury and numerous courses and programs in management and project evaluation.
