Port of Taman to Get New Dry Bulk Facilities

Russia’s Rosneft has entered into a cooperation agreement with the country’s Ministry of Transport and the government of Krasnodar Territory to expand dry bulk facilities at the Black Sea Port of Taman.

St.Petersburg International Economic Forum was used as a venue to kick off the project titled ”Creation of Dry Cargo Zone in the Sea Port of Taman” as part of a nationwide government program ”Russian Transportation Network Enhancement for 2010-2020.”

The agreement highlights the importance of creating infrastructure inside the port and by its premises, including federal owned facilities, which would allow for transshipment of petrochemical products with the calculated volume of 400,000 metric tons per year.
