PSE-Polnoc Invites Tenders for Subsea Cable Inspection Services

Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne – Północ S.A. announces tender invitation for subsea cable inspection services with the deadline for submission on January 21, 2014.

The contract covers inspections and analysis of the maritime route Poland – Sweden (Polish segment) cables and HVDC MCRC.

The ccope of work includes creation of 3D visualisation in high-resolution maps of the seabed in running route cables for required format three-dimensional maps.

It includes study of the seabed area around the route of the cables for sidescan sonar to locate any existing potential for danger.

Also required for the project is video routing cable using a robot equipped with a ROV supervisor cable locator for accurate positioning by robot in places where cables are stacked under the sea bed and invisible.

Where there is risk of potential danger or where cables and their isolation environment or cables look violated it may be necessary for divers to verify and accurately analyse places.

Additional descent team of divers will conduct dock inspection to finish conduit for the beach – Ustka (~ KP0, 540).

The work will also include visual inspection of previous cable repairs.

The contractor will have to analyse data, prepare opinions, maps and reports and also prepare a summary report of information and visualisation of the potential risks and defects found.

The whole work will have to be recorded on DVD.

The commencement of the project is 1.5.2014. and it is expected to be completed by 30.9.2014.
