PTT of Thailand Seeks Two Spot LNG Cargoes

PTT of Thailand is seeking two spot liquefied natural cargoes for delivery over the next two months via an open buy tender, Platts reported.

It could be that PTT couldn’t find enough supplies from their previous closed tender, so now they are extending it to everyone else,” a Tokyo-based trader said.

Thailand has only one LNG terminal, which is located at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong province, and it joined the club of LNG importing countries with the completion of the terminal in May of 2011.

The Map Ta Phut terminal has a five-million-ton regasification train with two 160,000m³ LNG storage tanks.
