Qatargas Recognises 247 Employees (Qatar)

 

Qatargas has recognised some of its long-serving employees at a special ceremony in which certificates of appreciation and gifts were presented to 247 staff members who have completed fifteen, ten or five years of service with the company.

Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer, Qatargas, awarded the certificates and gifts to the employees in the ceremony.

Commenting on this year’s awards ceremony, Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer, Qatargas, said: “Reaching the milestone of Long Service is testament to the commitment of our employees to Qatargas and to their invaluable contribution towards our company’s achievements. As the world’s largest producer of LNG, we must continue to improve our business – to strive for Innovation in Global Energy, Operating Excellence, the development of our People, and as a global LNG producer, reaching every corner of the world, we also have the added responsibility to ensure we are a good corporate citizen. Safety continues to remain our top priority, demonstrated recently with our achievement of eight years with no loss time accidents.”

He added: “In giving this award, I, along with my Management Leadership Team, recognise the contribution that our long serving employees made to our journey to become the premier LNG Company. They now sit in this prestigious Long Service category, and their experience is another asset they bring to the company as a whole.”

He urged the long serving employees to carry on the knowledge, using it to further improve and adopt best practices in all areas of Qatargas business, which he believed would undoubtedly pave the way for the continued future success of Qatargas. He encouraged them to pass on their valuable expertise to all new joiners of Qatargas, and use their wealth of knowledge to assist them in their early years of working.

He concluded by stating: “Importantly our people remain the cornerstone to our success.”

The 247 employees included 136 employees who have completed fifteen years of service, 54 employees who have completed ten years of service and 57 employees who have completed five years of service.

Qatargas is committed to develop, promote and recognise all of its employees and it has a very high retention rate.
