Qatargas Wins Goal Zero Award from Shell

Qatargas Wins Shell Goal Zero Award

Qatargas was recently awarded the Shell ‘Goal Zero’ Award. The award aims to promote and build a strong safety culture in the industry by recognising and celebrating great safety performance.

Qatargas received the award in recognition of working ten million man-hours without serious leaks or incidents.

Qatargas implements a tailor-made safety program called “Incident and Injury Free” across all its operations. This program focuses on taking all necessary precautions to prevent accidents and injuries before they occur and to help ensure that everyone goes home safely every day.

Last year, Qatargas launched the ’10 Life Saving Rules’ related to safety that are mandatory for every person, whether employee or contractor working at Qatargas.

Earlier this month as a testament to its continuing pursuit of safe working practices, the company achieved 12 consecutive years without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) across its offshore operations. Also, earlier this year, the Qatargas Jetty Boil-off Gas Recovery Project (JBOG) achieved 20 million man-hours without a Lost Time Incident.
