Reach Subsea Nets Pile Removal Contract at Wikinger OWF

Reach Subsea has entered into a firm contract with Iberdrola Renovables Offshore Deutschland GmbH in Germany for the removal of nine piles at the Wikinger Wind Farm.

The wind farm is located in the German waters of the Baltic Sea, approximately 34 km north-east of the island of Ruegen.

Reach will execute the contract using Ocean Installer’s a Light Construction Support Vessel (LCSV) Normand Mermaid. The vessel is equipped with a DP class 3 system, 100t crane capacity and 765m² deck.

Total contract duration is approximately two weeks.

Sales and Marketing Manager Bård Thuen Høgheim says: “We are pleased to see that the effort to get a foothold in the renewable market is starting to materialize.”

The wind farm will generate electricity sufficient to power more than 350,000 German households.
