RS Promotes QMS Certification Services in Azerbaijan

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has certified the quality management system of the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet (for compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 standards) and the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy (for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standard).

RS is operating in the Azerbaijan Republic since 1923. The classification society actively interacts with the Maritime Administration and port state control bodies, participates in offshore oil and gas field development projects, cooperates in R&D and education with specialised higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan.

The strengthening of business contacts between RS and the leading organisations and enterprises of maritime industry in Azerbaijan makes it possible to ensure reliable operation of ships and environment protection in the Caspian basin, enhances the competitive performance of the local enterprises in the international shipping market.
