Sabella to feed electricity to the grid via GreenLink

Sabella has placed an order to MacArtney Group to supply the connectivity solution GreenLink that will enable Sabella to feed the electricity produced from its D10 turbines to the French grid.

Sabella has secured the funds to install and test its full scale Sabella D10 tidal turbine with the capacity of up to 1 MW. The assembly process has begun in the port of Brest, and the turbine will be installed in Fromveur Passage.

GreenLink connectivity solution will be used to feed the electricity to the grid connection of the Ushant island, MacArtney’s press release reads.

MacArtney GreenLink Inline Termination solutions are used to connect dynamic cables from offshore renewable wind, tidal and wave energy converters to export cables. They are also used to interconnect subsea units.
